Hawkey finishes season on a high

Esmee Hawkey, the Porsche Centre Tonbridge sponsored driver, gave a fantastic performance at Snetterton to secure her place as runner-up in the GTA group of the GT Cup championship.
Esmee and team mate James Birch entered the final weekend 26 points behind championship leader Dan O’Brien, but great performances by both drivers meant the Cayman GT4 Clubsport held its nerve and crossed the line in third position, securing enough points for the duo to achieve overall second place in the championship category.
After the race Esmee said, “The GT Cup is a great championship to race in. We’ve worked with Porsche on the upgrades and the car has just got better and better throughout the year. I’m really happy with second in the championship and I’m looking forward to next year”.
